I assume that's a typo for Long Way Down Jackets, Paul, as in the one worn by Ewan McGregor on the left, in this pic of him and Charley Boorman, in front of Buchaille Etive Mhor in Glencoe, Scotland, during the early stages of the trip.

As I'm sure you know the guys wore BMW Rallye II suits on the Long Way Round.

What's the status of you being at the Phoenix show at the end of the month? I remember you said Honda and Yamaha might pull out. Without you there it's not worth drive from Tucson--I can see all the riders dressed like pirates I want to right here.

I've had this Mercury for about 5 years now. Wear it in fall to winter. Great jacket, still looks as good as day 1. Warm and toasty for half of what a Revit jacket cost. I love the Revit stuff, but why pay twice the amount for the same thing?

Just got a new Barbour International from BMG. Great stuff and fits true to size. Built like a brick shithouse... it'll suit my '43 M20 BSA just fine.

Cool2 Long Way Down Jackets..

Looks like the Belstaff LWD jackets are going to come in Fog and Black ( Fog is a dark Grey color which is what the silver one looked like after the trip..) .. We are getting a couple of the Silver ones but they are not being made anymore. If anyone is interested in these come check them out at the Cycle World SHows we should have a display from Italy by then to put in our booth with the rest of the BMG line.

They have added full Armor and the finishing work is far and beyond anything you see in the motorcycle indusry.. We may be able to sell these for $595 on our web site... What do you think?

Great jacket. I'd buy it today if it was available. I'm trying to stop myself from buying a vintage Trialmaster because it's too hard to wait until March 09.

FYI - The photo you put on this thread of this jacket is great and makes me want to buy the jacket but the photo of this same jacket on your britishmotorcyclegear web site is hard to see the detail.

I am Liking the jacket more and more. I don't know what size to order though as I've read that different styles of Belstaff's have different cuts. Can you make a size recomendation to me for the Belstaff Tourist Trophy Jacket? I'm guessing medium unless it's cut small.

I'm 5 10, 165, slim to medium build, 39 inch chestm 33 inch waist, 15 inch neck, 25 inch sleeves.

thanks

Nothing says "British bike owner" like a Barbour...
(I sure like mine)

DG - Show Schedule ??

Any chance you could publish your shows schedule either at this site or at the BMG webpage?

I'm in the market for a new jacket and would love to be able to get a "hands on" with a few of your products. I'll be taking a trip next spring/summer riding from Kansas City to Fairbanks (gotta do the Arctic Circle thing) and around a good chunk of AK, so I'm looking for a solid 3 season touring jacket - your company looks to have the goods but before committing to any one item it would be nice to eyeball the jackets I'm interested in.

Is the reason why our questions of the vendor are going unanswered because it says 'banned' under his name?

Can somebody tell me if that's what that means. I tried to search on what happens when somebody gets banned but I couldn't find anything.

I think Dantegod (Paul) is just busy with the Phoenix show. I drove up (from Tucson) Friday afternoon to finally get an International jacket--it's great! As I told my best friend: "It was easier spending the $400 (inc. tax) to get the Barbour, than loose the 30 lbs to fit into my old mid-80s Belstaff...that's age for you.

Paul is great to deal with; I've been very pleased with the gear I've bought from him/BMG.

He was banned by a moderator for some rule breaking in the flea market. He will be back if he chooses in a couple of weeks.
I would contact him through his website for now.
