I don't think they do. The risk of the armour moving off the site of impact is inversely proportional to the tightness of fit of the legs of the pants.

Oh sweet. Thats a serious fashion statement opportunity right there. Kill two stones with one bird as they say (be safe, look hawt! Could be the new BMG slogan)

I think I'm beginning to see why you went for the orange Adventure Jacket rather than the more tasteful blue version..........

I got the Adventure jacket today @ the NY Cycle show......and man is it really nice.
I already have way too many cycle jackets and was not in the market at all, but after checking it out it was a MUST HAVE item.

Challenger old and new

Has anyone had the opportunity to compare an older Challenger jacket and a new one? I borrowed one that is 8 years old and it is soft and comfortable. I hear that the new ones are made differently and I don't know if I would like the new version or not.

Any had the chance to see an old and new version comparison?

If its anything like the dicso and pioneer pants they changed the waterproof membrane. One was microskin and one was stormshield. Forget which is the newest one. Had two pairs of Pioneer pants, one had the microskin and one the stormshield.

Fairly certain my old challenger did NOT have the external armour, new one does.

How is the outside material of the Challenger?
Is it soft like the old one or stiff and bulky?
Better or worse?

Does anyone have any detailed pics of the Challenger jacket?
The BMG site does not have much for pics and when I asked the owner for better pics, I was referred to the web site which does not have much.

Any close up pics of the liners or venting or anything would be great.

Thanks in advance...

I picked up my new Challenger jacket, Pioneer pants, and Thermosport gloves at the IMS show in Daytona and love everything so far. I will be doing a write up after a little use. Maybe a camparison to the Motoport mesh gear too.

Paul gave me a great deal and it was a great experience.

Any questions are welcome...

Danny
