Your correct if this was just for snow fun.

In do time the mission will be disclosed.

I've committed the Swing Arm and both Wheels and once I find interest in the remaining items then the project will begin.

Thanks for your interest.

Isn't that the diagnostic connector?

Basically I broke the right side. It appear that there was an initial crack and when on day one of a five day ride, the arm was nearly tore through. Felt things weren't right and on inspection at the next town my mate found the damage. Very luck not to have a major accident.

I am not sure how to do the picture thing but happy to send one by email. Unless you can tell me how it's done?

1.3gal of gas

Gives me 1.3 gal of gas and it cost 50.00
It sucked up 1 gal of gas on it's first test ride and works really well in the rocky stuff up in the Mt.

3.9 gals of gas should get me well over 170 miles now before I have to gas up.

The mount was free it once was a way to say No Parking

That's the most practical solution to increased capacity, I bought the same tank and was going to mount it same way then got drunk one night and ordered the Touratech tank. 650X adventurized by Blue Moon.

I hope to be doing a writeup soon on my twist on adding the KTM auxiliary tank like inmate Oggi and others did. After reading about expanding plastic tanks with boiling water and air, I decided to give it a try on the 1.1 gal KTM tank. I was able to easily get an extra .33 gallons by doing this. I wasn't very aggressive with it as I had never expanded a tank before, but I'm thinking it could easily go to 1.5 or 1.6 gallons. And it still fits inside my HB pannier racks. I'm going to re-do my mounting bracket a bit too, but so far, so good.

I'm still running the first tank through to see what the useable capacity is, but I'm thinking I can get pretty close to 200 miles (indicated, maybe 185-190 actual).

The tank runs $165. It would be great if somebody could fab up the brackets as a kit and sell them for $50 or less. An extra 1.5 gallons, cleanly mounted, for $200-225 would be a pretty nice alternative to the higher priced options.

And here's a pic of the setup I rigged to expand the tank:

That's the tank I have on mine. Thanks butters.

I wish I could figure out posting pics. Most forums have a manage attachments tab and its a simple upload. I'm sure this site used to as I posted pics before.
