Yes, that's the one. I like the looks better and more importantly, it fixes the water spray issue with the stock fender; when riding in the rain, water doesn't spray over the front fender on to the rider.

That is correct. I even went into the Unifilter shop in Orange, CA, and they had no idea what it was and were not receptive to trying to get one.

I just run a few pieces of Unifilter foam over the Unifilter. I also have noticed that the Unifilter doesn't really fit the opening for the air box correctly. You need to use a lot of grease to seal it up.

+1

The sheet of Uni filter foam really traps most of the dirt. Mine looks like this now:

Any ideas? TIA

No canister, and the ignition has been re soldered. No leaks that are visible and no leaks from the gas cap area.

The smell is only noticeable when running, fuel filter? bad plugs?
anyone?

I paid about $40 of shipping for both filters from AU to Houston,TX. I've been quite busy this week so I didn't have time to work on the bike. I,ll probably will have some free time on sunday, I'll take some pics of the pre-filter fitted and post them.

Temp sensor in radiator would be worth checking. It sounds like it is running on the enriched map all the time as if the bike thinks it is still cold.

clock

anyone have an idea: Took my XC out today and when I turned the key on, bike started Ok, but my clock was reading all 0.00 and both trip meters had reset to 0 also. The main odometer still had the mileage reading.

That is a symptom of power going below a minimum battery voltage, like one of the terminals got disconnected, or blown fuse or the voltage drooped to far for one of many reasons (drain, semi-short, etc).

The starter is on a separate fuse circuit probably which is why the bike can still start, so I'm guessing the battery is fine and it is a fuse. The circuits are described in the manual.

thanks snooker, will be checking battery connection, etc.

AZ, No HID , still stock lights and they are OK.
I was able to set the clock with the bike off, and trip meters all started to work as I rode.
I have a new BMS-C about 7000 km ago.
