Issues:
-Noice from the suspension, don’t know if it’s from the front or back. Only when the suspension works fast.

-When the motor stalls and bump-starts sometimes it doesn’t idle. If I turn the power off for some seconds and start it’s ok again but as long as the power is on there is no idle even if I shut the motor down and restart it. (Not a problem as I know how to deal with it)

-Strange “clonking” noice from the motor when driving very slow slipping the clutch on 1 gear. Always after downshifting.

-The air-shock wears out of the mud-flap. (Fixed in one of the technical actions by the dealer)

Can someone check if a DRZ400 shift lever fits on the x-chal? MSR sells a steel one with +1inch length that would be great

The 1999 through 2006 YZ250 (MSR#2148) shifter will bolt right on and the bends are almost identical.

Please be aware that it's aluminum. It looks super tough...So I'm not use about it being a better replacement for the BMW stock shifter.

But I have run theses MSR shifters for a number of years, and have bent them and then bent them back into position....but there's still the uncertainty of how the X650 shift shaft will hold up...

We'll see..

I managed to whack a log with my shifter, folded it completely in half & broke when I pulled it off the footpeg to get it to move at all. Replaced with a $23 steel cheapy for a WR...which came with a bolt made of plasticine...new bolt & its all on fine.

I'll get the part no when I get home.

Oh Please... Just add it already. It's good reading. Isn't that what the index is about? Interest should be the only criteria on something like this no? Maybe it will give someone inspiration or maybe someone will get a good laugh but it certainly belongs in an index. He did something pretty damn cool. Don't turn into the index Nazi.

The inmate who is making it has not indicated if he will make it available or if it's a one off. It has also not yet been mounted to the bike or even tested.. if / when it's ready, it will be added.

I have been searching for some nice shorty levers for my x-challenge. I've talked to ASV and they don't seem to have a clue whether or not any of theirs will direct fit our perches. No one that I have found list's our bikes. Does anyone have some good information on these?

Just a note. The front brake pads that will fit a 640 KTM and also fit the G650 are from 2005 model years and onwards. I mistakenly bought a pair for a 640 Adventure and they were way too small. because the guy gave me a set for an 04 640.

Bendix pads #174 will fit.
