Great first post. Glad to see you coming out and playing with the rest of us. I have to say that it appears the Stroms are the most active bikes out there. Great work riders

Given the really stupid places I took the thing a week ago, I realize - yet again - that I made the right bike purchase for almost all my needs. I have yet to find it incapable of doing something I ask it to do.

A nice quiet spot to drop the drive. I hope it likes the view.

And now to add a touch of V-Strom to the scenery.

I hope it isn't located at "N 51 12.779 W 14 56.160"

I do hope it is at "N 51 12.779 W 114 56.160" .... :)

I won't have a chance to pass by that area for a while. I am going to follow this thread ... and so long as this cache stays within the area I look forward to the hunt.

OK......this one has sat for long enough. I'll be heading through that area on Aug 2nd and if no one has grabbed it by then, it's coming with me for a ride in the mountains!!

I picked this cache up this morning with a freind. I'll relocate it this weekend. Had the slave cylinder on the clutch fail shortly after picking up. Will do a quick repair and rehide the cache.

I got a text from Whitey this afternoon. He got to the cache 2 hours after you picked it up. He said thanks for the note.
Get er stashed up as soon as you can. The season is getting slow and it's almost time to bring those things in for the winter.

I stashed it again this morning. As the crow flies not far from the last cache, but and interesting place to visit. All bikes can get to it, so not too much of an adventure, but a cool site none-the-less.

I'll get my pics dl'd and my story together and post it up.

Ok, a friend and I (her on her new to her F650GS) went out for a ride. I didn't tell her there would be a Cache involved so she gave me a quizzical look as I was on my hands and knees looking in the tubes of a texas gate...But we found the cache:

I must say the road north of the cache location was amazing fun. I even got the Strom airborne once. She does land with a clunk though. Then the slave cylinder on the clutch decides it wanted to let all the fluid go, so not clutch on the way home, but that is another story.

The local dealership ( GW Cycle ) had a seal in stock, so I was back in action that afternoon.

Sunday August 3rd we made plans to get the cache back out in the field. As the crow flies, maybe only 5km from the last cache, but we saw the crow dead on the side of the road.

Now for the new cache location...

We added a little something extra to the box, in the spirit of motorcyling..

A cool cloudy morning had us head west, entering a small town for consumables (bikes like gas) and a cock in a big truck cut us off...I yelled at him and the Cock ran away down the street.

After gas, continuing west on 1 A of road, we passed a reservoir of ghosts in the early morning:

The ghosts scared us away so we continued on until we saw a road that pulls all women ahead of their time to the right. I happened to be traveling with one such woman and we had to go right.

During the capture of the above picture a female RCMP officer wanted to know why my motorcycle was in the ditch and if I was ok. and we were back on the road.

Continue up the road of Jamieson, watch for the Hobbit house on your left.

Eventually after a left and right and near the end of the road you will come to the location of the cache. It was not safe for us...

But we left it there anyway...

So just scoot your little buns to the following location:

Look for this sign:

and you will find the new protectorate of the cache.

Just remember, this cache is technically hidden on private property, so be respectful. Also, any bike can get to this cache, so pavement dwellers, enjoy.

Travis
