Went 4 yrs. ago and tent camped on turn 3 for 3 days. Went to the falt track, supercross, and watched the superbikes (if thats what they were). I'm not too into the road races. It was a cold snap that year with temps in the 20's at nite.

Met and partied with some great people from new york with some firewood.

My boy wants to go this year and my schedule looks promising.

Met 3 adv guys that rode down from up north.

Never did do the strip and the roads are too clogged to ride.

I can come any day after work and if I get 3 days or more off in a row I'll be staying on the coast somewhere and riding around the area.

I may even buy a do-rag!

We usually spend the last weekend there, but you'll never find us - we blend in well with the crowd.

Had a great time riding brand-new manufacturer's bikes from the demo tents though! Everyone really gives them some wrist on the curves around the airport and speedway!

I'm planning to go the first weekend through about Tuesday.

I can only make weekends, due to work. My GF and I have rode up US1 from Melbourne, for the 2 years we've lived in FL. It'd be neat to ride up in a dualsport/ADV group. We rode the only DR650 we saw there last year. I don't recall seeing any XRLs either, but there were a few KLRs, DR-Zs, GSs, and a KLX around. The year previous, we were on the only YX600 I saw there.

My bikes don't seem to be very popular in Daytona.

fYI: just did a live chat with someone at the Speedway on the web site and verified tent camping in the infield is included with a daily race ticket. And the infield is open for 10 days during Bikeweek. There always seems to be some confusion about free camping with a day pass. I have done it in the past and averaged for the week it is usually pretty cheap.

Be riding my pig (2012 SuperTenere) I would like to find some adv ers going down to hook-up with.
I want to haul it down,& then ride from my hotel ,near coco-beach
If anyone going down near same times give me a shout out,
Ill buy the first round.......
