Thanks for pacing

Thanks John for the company back to the Central Coast late Sunday night, that made the ride home safer and more enjoyable. And to ideaman, your right - SLOCO, x5657. Anyway, great thread folks![/quote]

Thanks for leading on the way back. I couldn't see very well through my dark sheild and every time I tried to ride with out I got hit with a bug. You set the perfect pace. I am totally paranoid about speeding on the 166.

h8chains, thank you so much for your wonderful photos and ride report!

It's nice to be able to enjoy the ride vicariously!

(Also nice to meet some of you, and re-new acquaintances with those we have met before.)

I hope you guys enjoy the report, and we expect on next year's "CEDRIC II" you'll be joining us.
Wow. Great job, Joel! I had to wait to get home from Oregon to see the final installment. I couldn't wait to see them.
675 miles today, and the first thing I did when I got in the door was to flip on the computer to see the rest of your photos. Again.. great work and THANKS!

ps.. For those of you who have never been to John Day Oregon's Chief Joseph Rally, you REALLY need to go. Some of the best riding, both street and dirt, that I've ever seen. California's asphalt roads are a disgrace.

It was my first time at that rally, but you can bet I'll go again.

Oustanding!

Great ride, great scenery, great weather, and great bunch of Adv-ers. Does it get any better?

You should peg up a report in Ride reports.

I talked to Wally and he's ok, not pissed!

He has some pics to post but needs my help.

Dvyking, who else is good to do the RR, gotta be you, and use my pics as you wish.

hi wes, i think i'm the only one with a gps on that ride, but there was a little need. the guys know the route very well and they waited for me a the junctions .

i might have a gpx file but have to edit it, it got us lost at one time. i just talked to dave dennis last sunday and we certainly plan to do the ride again.

it's a good route and we had fun.

i'm just trying to find all the little cross paths on google maps and a gpx overlay would be useful. i don't need it to be really neat. i remember reading in the thread someone also had a gpx of where the ride was supposed to go before you all went, but now cannot find that post when i search... what has become of my searching powers?

regardless of whether i have a gpx or not most of the roads are plain as day and since there will be only two of us, we can safely take the 'wrong' forks anyway and have a hoot!
