Thumb Dem Bonz!

Yes three bones busted, and I'm left with a limp. Such is life!

Any 'techies' who can shrink the x-Ray pic down to Avatar Size, please PM me. I need a new Avatar, and that would make a goodie!

It never ceases to amaze me where you guys take your dual sports!

Seeing guys like Popey ride an 1150 GS Adv in sand and crap at 70mph at DVD blew me away.

Do you not have any fear?

Cool thread btw.

it looks like you broke your toe bones(phalanx), i broke the metatarsals right where they meet the toes and the cuboid(which i have screws and a plate in).
did you just catch it on the rock as you rode by?

i go for my anniversary check up soon!
fingers crossed that it all goes well.

From what I heard and at least I know 3 of them, these guys are ex-motocross racers back in their younger years!

Socal is no place to ride a GS on dirt with the exception of Eatpasta, it seems that the 9fiddy is the official big dirt bike around here!

Only 70? How about 104 on Furnace Creek Road at DVD.

Makes you feel... alive, ya know?

Amazing stuff. If I could ride my 990 in even a fraction of that terrain I would be a happy camper. Now what was the name of that "truck driving school?"

Eh? Metatarsal's

I broke the three middle metatarsol bones by moving the rock with my booted foot and having the footpeg as backup. They broke just before the joints with at least one compounding out the bottom of the foot.

I try to get on the treadmill or walk for a half hour daily to keep the scar tissue form causing the whole thing to freeze up. It still feels the best when locked up in my Mx boots!

thats the same shit with me.
three middle metatarsals, but they pushed back into my cuboid and shattered that. so the cuboid has a plate and three screws permanently in.
the metatarsals he just left to heal on their own since they looked like gravel on the x-rays and said if he tried to pin them my foot would be fu.cked or more fu.cked.
good luck on the healing and i did physical therapy(manual) and it helped a ton!!!

Recovery

Since the original Pooch Incident, I have done some fairly gnarly rides, the last one was Jerry Count's 3-day 'tour' of Death Valley and the surround whore houses on my 950. No problems!
