Wicked Need to ride!

You guys planing on riding this Sunday? I was thinking of doing an early morning run Sunday Morning 5 or 6 am want to beat the heat and get home at a decent time. Would like to have breakfast at Newcombs since I haven't been in a while. If that doesn't pan out I was even thinking about doing a late afternoon/night ride Sat night? PM ish.

i could see doing a 6AM ride.
the last few weeks have been pretty cool(temp). riding between 7:30 -11:30, so yeah,
6:30-roughly 11AM, eat at Newcombs, get home and hang with the lady. sounds like a plan.
riceless, if you read this.... i think i'll wait til the heat isn't in the 100's out near you.
keep in mind, i'm a transplant from Seattle, the Pacific North Wet. this is my first so cal summer and i'm barely getting used to 90. you should come out to our COOL ride!!!!

I'm good for Sunday. NOT tomorrow (or should I say today!). Too bad. Looks like a fun ride, but I'm a thumper guy still getting used to riding again after a long haiatus, and life gets in my way.

I should be ready to go.

Well I'm in for sure, 7:am at the top of the Shell Station. Theirs a little street were you can park and wait just above the Shell station and the fwy. Last week they were doing construction and Shell and it was closed. The 76 station next to it was open. looks like the weather gods are going to be nice and give us some cool riding temps in the morning

I was just parking the car and could see some major lighting going on up in the mountains! hope it just brings a little rain and doesn't spark any fires

once again, a GREAT ride.
today it was SITO and ARTBOY and i meetin up in La Canada at the station across from the Shell(under construction).
got a good fast start up the Crest and the Forest hwys.
Lynx was quick, but mellow... rolled up on a 'Search and Rescue' sheriff, 3 vehicles on the off shoot going up, right where there the gnarly downhill on Lynx. dunno what was goin down.
from there i took the two gentlemen to 'Wzltech trail', which put huge dirt grins on their faces!
rode down Aliso to 4N 24.
Sito did the hillclimb at the beginning, so i HAD to follow. that shit was LOOSE!
blasted up 4N 24, at the top took a little off shoot before SCD.
down to Hidden Springs for grub.
home by 12:15.
as Ice Cube once said...." Today Was a Good DAY!!!!"
sorry H8chains.... no pics from me, i was too busy holdin on!
i think SITO got one or two pics....

I was up there a bit myself today, on the TW200, a lot later than you guys, & I stuck to the pavement (I'm very reluctant to venture off into the dirt when I'm riding by myself, one of these days I'll have to give it a try) I had some lunch a Hidden Springs Cafe, & was having a pretty good time (in my slow-going kinda way), until I was almost back down into La Canada, where I came across a bike vs. car accident that had just happened. Red sport bike, & a guy & girl sprawled in the middle of the road, several folks had already stopped to help, & direct traffic, but EMS was not yet on scene. Riders were both breathing, the guy was talking, the girl was not, the guys leg was really messed up, one of the people on scene was a Dr....I left when FD showed up......... shook me up a bit
