Honestly though, if I'm looking at a trail bike, I want a wide ratio gear box. Who knows, I may be better off snagging a yz250 smoker & tossing in the WR gears into it. It'd be cheaper than finding a WR450F. Although the 2012\2013 wr450F just looks like a sweet ride.

And in other news. My GasGas 270 will be a sleeper, as it'll be a 280 soon. Boring & replating cylinder to use the available 280cc piston.

Major bonus is everything is a heck of a lot cheaper this route. Perfect for a JB Welded fork tube fix type of bike.

I actually think there is a green kayak at my disposal now. I'll have to bring it with for UP trips just in case.

And I thought you already bought that 450?

How long till the snow's gone in the UP? I recall riding up there last March

So pay a premium for a Blue KTM?

If I am going with a blue machine, it'd be a yz250. Eric Gorr 295 kit with a WR gearbox. I could build 4 of them for what 1 Hoooosaberg would cost me. I'd even get to have another premix discussion

Moose, you were the one originally encouraging me to go back to a Japanese bike. I did, raced an 80's XR in the Open B class in an enduro, and took 3rd. This is why I'm back on a Yamaha. I have a LOT of confidence in my riding on that bike. A lot more confidence as well in my fitness too. This season should prove to be exciting.
