What part of the area are you from? What year XT? I wonder if the new fuel injected XT is as cold blooded.
I'm in Elmhurst. XT is an '09. Mine does take a bit too warm up...even in warm weather. I'm going to the MCY show in an hour or so --will def be checking on the XT updates (along with honda and kawi)

[Chain lube--exc point. I'll do that BEFORE I take it out...if not today---then def Sat.]

Unless it's going all downhill, it's too much work.

I'll stick with the motorized variety.

Lol when i started the extreme mtb i wasnt legally allowed to ride the motorized variety...not to mention mom has a deathly fear of motorcycles(she almost died back in the late 60s on the back of her dads honda...lady pulled out right in front of them... Laid it down, road rash everywhere.... ) so that didnt help either....so i just rode mtb...didnt like that much either.....LOL

Pix from the Cycle show today:

I put up a VERY quick (unedited) collage of pix from the Cycle Show in Rosemont this morning and afternoon.

Just a fraction here so far:
http://www.ml1media.com/ML1MCY2013feature.html

I'm compiling all the excess inventory that I have --out-takes, mis-framed, and all, into a slide show. I have about 500 more images that wont be used for paid coverage and I'll link a video-slide show to the above page later tonight---the order of the pix should be a little more logical as I went in a defined order across the show floor.

Most of the images on the page should expand to a larger pic, if you click on it. (Again, resized down for speed---I'll load the HQ images tomorrow).

Per req above---While Yamaha didnt see fit to bring an XT250 to the show (and seemed embarrassed when I asked and they couldn't find one) it does indeed have Fuel Injection for 2013 (or was it 2012?) and on, and alleged to cure all cold engine/choke ills.

Video (slideshow) link added to webpage:
http://www.ml1media.com/ML1MCY2013feature.html

Runs about 10 min --apx 400 pix. No audio (yet...maybe ((later) on Sat). File fmt is .wmv, but rendering DIVX for reload.

Apx order clockwise around show floor ---Honda, Ducati, Yamaha, Triumph, Victory, Suzuki, KTM, Indian, some random customs, BMW, Harley, Kawasaki, and ends with ZERO (electric).
