Sad enough as it is but, downright criminal if it turns out that the unconfirmed reports that he ran into a booby trap are true.
I read a comment from a frequent desert racer that booby traps are becoming more frequent because spectators want to see crashes!
If true I hope they find out who's responsible and they get charged with murder!

Very sad indeed. Taylor Robert posted via twitter that it was NOT a booby trap. Caselli crashed while racing. It wasn't a booby trap as Cycle World so quickly published.

RIP Caselli

Andrew.

Wow very sad news. RIP Kurt. The motorsports world is a better place because of your legacy. Sad news but going out doing what you were put on this earth to do. 30 years young

Yeah...Just took a call from a colleague on the west coast who is in the SoCal racing scene who told me that the reports of a booby trap were incorrect. It doesn't make it any easier or less sad that we've lost a talented young racer but, it does ease that feeling of frustration and a bit of anger thinking that there was an act that, if not perpetrated, this tregedy could have been avoided.
Motor racing is a community...motorcycle racing is a family. We have lost one of our own. May he rest in peace.

My niece lives in Washington. She said it was real bad but no damage for them. I have been seeing some of the photos from the area, she is real lucky.

We had it bad for 5 minutes. I was out on the Adventure, and pulled in the garage just as some rain drops started to fall, by the time I was closing the door it was really coming down. I got home just in time.

I have friends and family there. We are waiting to hear from them. Some are ok. At least one is MIA.

Peoria is fine, but Washington was hit hard. KTM dealer is very near the center of destruction.

Feogordo and Pansy are in Washington.
They are OK just out of power.
Prayers for those devastated.
