+1 (the merged thread idea seemed rather disingenuous)

I'd like to know more on how the 800 compared to the AT 750 ??

Compared to the AT750, it cruised on the highway at high speed very comfortable with the 800gs. I havn't ridden it off road, because of the thick sand, and mud. I would however not order a tankbag again, because there WILL get dirt under the bag, and scratch your paintwork. A larger screen, and handprotectors is optional equipment you must order imediately.

Note to self. When fueling up at Windorah do NOT say "I'll see you later", "I had better get a hop along" or "See you around". You will just look like a prick in front of the locals and feel like a dick.

Congrats on the new bike.

I have a buddy back in the Uk who currently rides a GS1200. He went for a test ride on the new GS800 last week, and is now swapping out his 1200 (like a lot of other folks apparently..).

I cant wait to have a ride when they arrive in Khe USA.

I like tank bags. Get some stick-on vinyl stuff on the tank to protect the paint. A local sign shop will sell you some in just about any color (maybe even give you scraps), or use clear.
