tire safety...
I'm putting some TKC80's on my 650GS (current have the stock TrailWings) in order to do 60 mile off-road ride. First of all, these are tubeless tires going on tube type rims (I'll be installing the tires w/ tubes). Secondly I have to ride 60+ miles on the freeway to get to the location of the ride. Any safety concerns I should know about?

You'll be fine, tubes or not. Just make sure you get the right air pressure in there. That's all you have to worry about.

+1 on the air pressure. Low pressure heats up tires.

No worries at all, TKC's are dual sport tires and made for on road as much as off. They won't stick like supersport rubber, but they will be decent. Tubless tires are perfectly happy with tubes, its the other way round that can get you into trouble.
