Looking for bike storage in SF area

Hey there fellow inmates. Wife and I are taking a short break from our ride to fly home for CDN Thanksgiving and see the kids and family. Wondering if anyone knows a safe place to store our bike and gear for 16 days (Oct 6-22)?

Much appreciated.

Mark & Lori

Join and post in the General section. Explain exactly what your situation is and I'm sure somebody will volunteer to help you out. It probably won't be right in San Francisco, but you should be able to get someone close to a BART line that would make it easy to get to the airport and back.

I would offer, but I moved away from there a few years ago and now live in the Sacramento area. If you want to leave your bikes out here, I could store them...

I recently had to do something nearly identical in the SF bay area, and after some calls and frustration, think I found a great solution.

Public Storage has many pull in bays available around the Oakland airport. They have a first month special where you pay $1 for the month, and some "administrative fee", usually $25-35 depending on the size of the unit.

So, for less than $40, you can store you bike for 30 days. Just make sure to cancel, or you'll get dinged for the full next month ($250! )

I went with the public storage near the Bayside Center, as the BART is just a few short blocks away. If you go there, tell them a guy on a big silver dirt bike sent you.

Not cheap, but one of the few bike focused storage places in downtown SF:

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Thanks all for the suggestions. We've just found a place.

@sonarman - not a big deal but I never received your PM.
