Thanks for this part of the report Martin, very nice.

I'll complete the report this week with the last 2 days. Thuesday on the Potash road and Wednesday from Moab back to Denver.

Just finished Kane, Porcupine and Gemini as well

Your pictures and awesomeness are better than mine.

I got stuck on Sandy Hill with my GSA. It was 105 degrees and I couldn't take lifting the beast anymore, so I turned muffler. It looks like you guys had high rivers and creeks but lower temps. We had sand, no creeks and HEAT.

Next though we did Kane and Hurrah Pass on the way to Jackson? Butte...it was FREAKIN' AWESOME!

Thanks for your report, it gave me great ideas for my trip and some added bravery.

You guys rock!

Hey thanks Jawdropper. Can't wait to read the next days of your trip and to know what happen to your nice Arai XD.

We had very nice weather in Moab. Not a drop of rain, not too hot and rivers was at a nice level.

One sure thing is if you want to do trails like Kane Creek and Porcupine, don't go there alone with a GSA

Here the pictures of our last day at Moab. The last ride was 'Potash Road'. It's a very easy and maintained dirt road. The Potash road start from the 191 with a pavement road for something like 16 miles. Then the dirt road start and one of the first thing you can see is the evaporation ponds of the Moab Salt company. Those are really amazing to see. Some very beautiful blue ponds in the middle of a desert!

Then the trail continue to some very nice overlooks above the Colorado river.

We rode the Potash trail up to the Shafer trail, the begining of the White Rim.

On our stop for a small lunch around noon, I even did some climbing!

That was the last day of our amazing trip in Moab. The next day, we packed our stuffs and head back to Colorado via the mountain. We rode approximately 1000 km in the Colorado mountains. That was really different and colder than Moab but also very beautiful.

We arrived in Golden, CO around 9h00 pm I think. We went to the same hotel that we went when we arrived in Colorado. Thursday morning, we went back to Pete's shop to get the truck and the trailer. After packing everything in the truck, installed the bikes on the trailer and had a nice chat with Pete, we headed to BMW of Denver to pick the parts I ordered for my GS. I ordered the clutch holder a few days before. They had received it and they also had in stock the rubbers for the skid plate and those famous plastic that hold the handleguards. Nice place and good service!

We then took the road to Montreal. We arrived in Montreal Friday evening after almost 30 hours of driving.

A very very nice trip with very good friends. This is one of the trips I will always remember. It's the best motorcycle trip I ever done!

Unfortunately I can't, no more vacation available for me this year. For us it's a long run to go in Colorado. I took 30 hours non stop with 3 drivers to ride the truck from Montreal to Denver. So we need at least 2 weeks to go to Colorado.

Maybe next year, we will go in CO around June. This way we will be able to ride the trails in Colorado and Utah!
