Here's the video... I put on my server MAC because this video deserves more than the youtube's resolution...

Please be patient and wait for the gray bar under the video (buffer) is at half before you start watching...

You guys did great!

Thanks for a really interesting ride report.

I live in Beautiful Colorado and it has some great trails, but I have always loved Moab and been there many times.

You guys are true adventure riders to drive all the way down to ride your big bikes on some very challenging trails.

I'm glad you had some good times and now have some great memories.

I think that is what life should be...an adventure!

you can view some of my Moab and Colorado rides by clicking here at

Ride safe!

if you come to colorado, let me know; i'm in Boulder, a center of civilization -- oui! c'est vrai -- and you can leave trailer here on my private street. CO is a great place to ride, on or off road. will take you down south toward Ouray and San Juan Skyway, where you can find more dirt and serious uphills than you can imagine.

here's a shot fr Idaho, June this year, just to introduce myself and the machine. now on an R12GS

and some pix of Engineer Pass -- yes, done in my Jeep, but i am not as fierce as you guys. still, another gorgeous part of the world:

Hey Zigy, thanks for the offer. If we go in Colorado next summer I'll let you know!

Gadget Boy, somebody told me that you where at the GS Challenge last September but that you leave on Saturday I think. The guy also told me that you had a KLR 250? Why did you leave so early? It was a really nice place to ride that bike!

Too bad I missed you, it would have been nice to meet you there.

Thanks guys for your comments!

Great report Stou!

I'm sure we met your friend Pete in Catavina on our way north out of Baja this fall. He was on an Africa Twin heading south to catch the 'Dakar' and naturally he knew people we knew....

We'll be in Moab in May. Two Canucks and two Yanks, can't wait.

Hosebag, you probably mean Pat, not Pete.

Pat made is way from Montreal to Ushuaia, Terra Del Fuego on his Africa Twin and he is now somewhere in Mexico on his way back to Montreal. He send us some pictures from the Dakar in Chili:

Here he is on the Dakar route

Here's a map of his trip until last week:
