Kevin, delete those pics before VA becomes another western NC/north GA. I'd like my home state to remain free of the traffic that has clogged this area in recent years, thank you very much. Just in case I decide to move back there.

Hell ya, Virginia was BY FAR the worst state I drove through on my trip to New Hamshire!! I mean, why does 1 state have to be so beautiful from 1 end to another?? All those rolling hills with pastures on them are something to behold in person , very nice state.

Virginia is great. NOrthern Va is gone, and most of maryland and pa are horrible riding places. Really populated and busy.

Virginia is great but its far for me. Wish i was closer.

Maybe one day they'll get smart, pave it and put up a parking lot.....

Until then I guess I'll just have to keep riding around looking at all that nothingness.....

Isn't way western MD still fairly rural? Lots of what we saw in this thread was the 'other end of the state' from where most of us live.

Yeah Virginia is pretty bad. There are so many trees that it's hard to see past the next hill.

Not only that but VDoT is way behind on road improvements. There are entirely too many unnecessary curves in these roads.

Some roads don't even have real guard rails.

I guess we will just have to make the best of it.

No. Miller Cove Rd. Near the Roanoke Co. / Craig Co. line and the Appalacian Trail. Neat little road that starts as a 1 1/2 lane paved twisty down hill and turns to dirt and gravel road following a small creek.
