Is the white two story farmhouse that's in the first few pics you posted a few miles west of Elk Creek? I passed by it a few times and it always catches my eye. I would have loved to seen it in it's heyday.

bad roads and rude people, stay away!

This picture was on a main road. One can fall into a mud pit many times in a day! The locals just come out and gawk without offering help!

Sometimes, the nice folks at the logging operations lay interlocking concrete blocks across the river so you have a nice, firm surface to ride across.


And it isn't true about the locals only watching and not lending a hand. When I submerged the 950SE in Buck Mountain Ford a couple of years ago a local was watching and said " I was going to tell you not to go through that part but you you took off before I had a chance".
