F'd up Moto Guzzi Convert Tranny?
I changed out a leaking ATF circulating hose. Then I over filled the Automatic tranny Fluid. Once I figured this out I drained off the excess. This helped but it still isn't right.
Next step? I plan to drain it to empty and add the measured amount of 1.5 quarts. What type of damage could I have done?

5 to 6 miles of stop and go.
It doesn't seem to be leaking profusely.

It lives! It lives!
It was not moving. I drained the reservoir down and slowly filled it while running. looked in the fill hole with a flashlight and found a fill mark. Is it the high or low? I filled it just to. There was little chance of telling how much ATF was in there. Even fully drained the cooler, sump and lines held enough to throw the 1.5 recommended measurement off. Throwing the converter into high pressure cut out, splooghing ATF all over.
Fill lines...Guido is a F'n genius. Live and learn. Then post. Quote:

I wouldn't rely on fill lines/marks.
I like to measure, fill then forget about it. I just drained my tranny fluid. I measured out the quantity and started putting it in.... I left the fill hole (on the side) open just to see how accurate it was. I needed to put in 28oz and it started comming out of the hole after 18oz! Everything looked level to me, but I guess it needs to be perfect for those holes to work properly. I think its best just to measure first and throw it in there. I really don't think you could've done much in 5 or 6 miles with an overfull tranny. I'm no expert on anything, but the trans doesn't get that hot and I think you caught it soon enough. Personally I would never run a bike while draining or filling....
