Hi QS,

It's a bumper/hitch combo with a tire swingout (not in use). It's all bolted with support brackets welded to the frame. However, a simple u-haul type is sufficient. I have a 4" lift and use a drop of 6" for the ball. Let me know if you have any q's.

I have a custom bumper/tire carrier with a 2" receiver. I've replaced the cross member with a better one that is not DOT crash spec (ie doen't bend or tear out if you look at it). There are also extra frame tie ins. (Hauling spare tire, firewood, gas, water and two large coolers of beer/ice - you do the math.) I also am sitting on 4" of lift. Hmmmmm. I'm thinking wire up the Jeep for a trailer and just rent a tiny U-Haul when necessary...Hmmmmm. Kennedy Meadows next year? I'll get back with you...

let's ride

some took the dirt right away from the camp, while the rest of us got on the pavement on our way to monache meadows which is just a few miles away.

i could no longer claim to be the slowest because of shoco (just a joke mike )

we found dirt

it seems strange to see a bike with 2 mufflers in the mix (that's spafxer on the right side of the pic and the only 950A)

we came out of the trees to see a wide open beautiful meadow

seeing bikes behind you is a good sign (now i know how you FFs feel )

one by one, i passed them....

another one...and more to eat my dust

and finally i caught up with the trail leader after passing 18 or so riders ............oni, i have to admit...this old nOOb is now

my xr was loving me that it was almost dust free for him for the rest of the day

this guy still has to learn how to salute

so, i gave him a crash course...a double, and of course having the ADV STICKER makes it official and LESS PROFANE!

a former student

while i'm giving a lesson, a horde of FFs just passed me

gave them a chase

and it didn't take long for me to take frontal pics again

shoco mastering the gravel

eggroll

wayne on his green kawi

while the rest of our 9fiddy friends decided to stay home or leave theirs at home for this ride....spafxer was undeterred....
