Correct Bike

This is clearly the correct bike for Utah dualsport.

You can ride all day long at 90 mph, then all the next day at 10 mph ...

... with 80 lb of camping gear, 6-pack of beer, flask, pistol + 100 rounds, Dora the explorer cup, fire starter/ extra gas, ..., tools, ... etc.

......

... Everything else is just improvization ...

But .... Ya gotta lose the Hepco Beckers for the tight-n-twisties ...

Well, the HBs do have their place. They make it so much nicer to clean the mud from the tires, inspect the bottom of the bash plate & numerous other sundry duties...

Luckily, KMC1 didn't get any to loose!

Thank you KMC1! If you remember the Lehi mechanic's name or if anyone else knows him please drop me a line. My 800 needs to be ready for winter riding...the second this leg can carry weight I'm on two wheels.

I ended up going with Racetek and there's a guy in Lehi/thanksgiving Point area who I can't remember his name now, but was really good to deal with. He did a really decent job and was really fast. I'd recommend him.

Hope this helps.

Just go to the racetek site and he's listed there.

If you had attended the KTM rally in Steamboat, you could also attend one of his classes. They were free there (I think).

NYC biker assault!

Seriously, hit youtube for New York City Motorcycle SUV chase.

A guy w/ a go pro on a thumper films a bunch of (adv?) riders (mostly bullet bikes) get mad at some dude in an suv so they cut him off and stop him in the middle of the freeway, they threaten him, so he runs over several bikes and at least one person, he gets away, they chase him and finally get to beat him up in front of his family who he was trying to protect. The suv driver didn't get in any trouble for deliberately running over the group because they were threatening him. One guy pulls off his helmet and starts bashing in the suv window. If i were the suv driver I'd have shot him in the face.

I was at the KTM rally and I attend two of them on braking. That sold me on the weekend course.

Proof positive that beaver prefer KTM. I wasn't looking for it behind Farmington this morning but they can't seem to help themselves when they see orange.

I see more proof positive that the sheep have all been rounded up and the KTM owners are a little desperate.
