Kawasaki's Versys is very smooth. Smaller bore.

Yamaha's TDM series has had this design for years.

Chances are slim it will come to the states, just like the 660.

Dude, it's called Paypal. Send him $100, get him to agree on right of first refusal for a few days, and make sure you get down there within that amount of time. It's not that hard.

Hey Shooter! I live in Santaquin and could haul it in the back of my Suby Baja.

Maybe if enough of us complain, they will get the idea.

Talking Rhino Rally was a blast!

How many ADV riders can you spot in this pic??

Shawn Strong turning it on:

Coming in for the finish:

It was nice to see everybody and to meet you commander51! I caught you at about the 40 mile mark. It was damn impressive to see you handle that big pig in those rocky rutted sections. It took me a long time to get around you on that big roadblock... I couldn't out accelerate you in the smooth sections and the rough stuff was too narrow to get a good pass...

All in all a great time and loads 'o' fun!

BR,

Make sure you check that subframe carefully. It looks crooked. Take off the seat and plastic to make sure there are no stress fractures.

Nice to meet you as well Roostre, sounds like you had a good race. I enjoyed it as well, the 650 was a little much at times but on the wide open stuff it was like power on demand, that thing hauls ass on the flats, not use to the endless power, it was my real first ride with this bike and I'd have to say I like it.
Good to see everyone out there and maybe we can all hook up and go do some riding here in the near future.

Are you afraid he might be getting your old DR that your rode off the cliff and we had to get it winched out? Yea, you probably should check it then.

Just got back from Delle...

Nice ride out, partly sunny. Heated grips wear a nice plus. Started out on some fast rolling double track with some whoops.

Then headed south and found a really nice single track I've ridden before that was pretty fast but still hand some execellent whoops. The 950 is amazing plowing through that stuff. First gear is so tall...half throttle is about 30 mph. Once you get grooving it is amazing how well it goes on the tight stuff. If I had my 250 nearby I'm sure I'd think it was a toy if I switched back and forth.

Found my way to the top of one of the hills in the distance. Great views and a super ride.

I stopped at the gas station and filled up before slabbing it back home. Before I rolled out I saw two xr650s (I think) roll in off the highway. One had one of those cool dual headlight dakar windscreen front ends. Anyone from ADV?

I need to get some clear stickers on the tank and side panels...I'm a severe tank gripper in the whoops and my new motoport kevlar pants are like sandpaper to anything they contact (including skin).
