Had a good evening ride in Snake Creek, Mineral, American Fork. Lots of gigantic, bike swallowing ruts in AF, and tons of deadfall.

We had to cross this twice. Yipee!

Putting in some miles. Is this a work trip, or just for fun?

Nice! Is the Forest Lake Trail finally open? Last I head the Forest Service still had it closed with boulders and signs at trail head and signage at the Tibble Fork kiosk?

No closed signs, but it's a mess. 3 foot deep trench up the middle for long stretches. I can't believe you 4x4 types drive up that stuff. I'll never do that in the Samurai.

Going back in a couple weeks, then everything should be open (single track), dry, and there won't be any controversy. 157 still had lots of snow on the north end, as did many high, north facing aspects.

We went to the top of 198 on Sunday. It was dry and in good condition all the way to the entrance to the single track.

A little help...FCR Fuel Screw O-Ring

Anyone know where I can get a couple replacement 2.5 ID 4.0 OD orings that go on the fuel screw on an FCR carb. Honda/Kawi/KTM/Yamaha only sell it with a new fuel screw and spring. The local hardware store had a small o-ring, but not small enough...

Any ideas?

Yosemite is one of my favorite places to camp/hike... how did you get a site or are you just rolling through?

Yeah, riding the beast takes it's toll. The August ride will be that, but it'll start at 7am and end at dark, for four days in a row. No casual mornings in the cafe sipping coffee and catching up on the internet world. Get up and ride. You'll get your ass handed to you, but it'll be fun, just ask Noah.

who here bought a Transalp? can't recall who but I got a box of little doodads you might find add to your TA collection. You can have them for $1. They include a rear steel sprocket, template for ignition/fuse box mount, seat strap, other misc hoses and stupid stuff. I'm going to chuck them as I don't imagine I'll ever get another one. Might be good for spares. PM me.

The continuation and extension of the "Overland" circle jerk. Non-profit, of course.

Not sure about strapping the kitchen sink on the back of the GS style, but at least people will get out and do something fun.
Oh, I agree completely. For folks coming from Yurp, or elsewhere, it certainly simplifies things. And, they'll most certainly be following well established trade routes. I just found the "non-profit" part amusing. Truth be told though, making a documentary is usually a profit loss thing anyway.
