Got to commend you for taking the big Beemer on those rutted dirt roads. You're a braver man than I.

Great vid Steve!

Really gives a good feel for the terrain.

Without getting TOO up close and personal.

M10, Day 10: Monday, Sept. 17, 2012

Today Dave departed our crew . Something about work, I guess? Since we were in the metropolis of Casper, we knocked out a few errands, then hit pavement to Glenrock to pick up our route. The day's route carried us south into Medicine Bow NF, cutting across it twice, where we eventually met some posted gates but the go-arounds weren't too bad, enjoyable even.

Dave's Mobius graduation ceremony:

Hope you can make it down to M11 in April. (that goes for all of you!)

It was a pleasure riding with you, Dave, and an honor to know you.

Errands

In Casper --

Spare tubes,

a new mirror for DingWeeds,

and while Mark & I tried to find the warehouse where we had to pick up the tubes (No address, dodgy directions, and only this sign:

) Steve needed something, a bulb, I believe, that he had to get at a regular auto-parts store that separated us and led to a little Keystone Kops action until we reconnoitered.

By the time

we got to Glenrock, it was time for a coffee break,

and gas top-off. Err... OK, maybe not.

Once we crossed under I-25, we were off tarmac, and it felt good.

past a mining operation,

and into the abyss.

God I hate mondays, don't you?

Day 10

Yes Day 10
Man Dave was a nice fellow---sometimes it's hard to find nice fellows--he sure was one.

So---------once again the day started with a meeting of the minds--------or clueless.

Steve would get very comfy today and was hoping his BMW would be able to survive the terrain.
Today was all easy and would give Steve a false sense of security----as tomorrow things would go all wrong for him----and his bike.

Ole' Slip Clutch----always oh so patient.

Getting out there

it was a hazy day, and the smell of smoke hung in the air.

we kept stopping to take pitchers, and no one was complaining.

A shame

about the haze. Kills the contrast in all the pitchers. I still like this one, though.

More Day 10

Standing on the pegs running fast----awesome----and another beutiful day.
I don't think we got rained on this whole trip------amazing.

Our first hint of the turning aspens as we approached the Medicine Bow National Forest.

They would eventually get as bright as Steve's jacket.

I think Francine is a happy girl here.

Long after this trip was over I still have my tassles on my bike.
The Harley riders love em'.
