Thumb Thanks!

For a great RR. It took me almost a year but I'm finally caught up. It's nice to see that us full timers can still tour the country and keep our jobs. I'm sure you know this but the time you take to share these trips is appreciated by many.

Was a Hoot at the Hideaway

A super big thanks to Scott and Julie for an unforgettable stay at 3-step.

I went out a couple weeks before the grand opening to help out---getting ready for the grand opening---and we'd try to sneak some riding in here and there.

First-------put on my work clothes---it was time to lay flag stone steps between the teepees, cabins and Cantina.
Made a few plumbing repairs----I didn't re-new my state plumbing license when I retired-------but-------I don't care.
Cut and split some firewood-----tidy'd up this and that and got the 3 step all ready.

Sun up till sun down--we loaded flagstone in to the old Ford pickup and brought them to 3-step and dug them in.
It was hard work------but I had fun--and it felt great to do an honest days work 2 years after retiring.

Pesky Wabbits were everywhere---kind of like the morman crickets in Idaho.
We had to do something---besides we had worked up an appetite---and Julie fixed up a spread of Wabbit Chile------it was awesome.

Had a couple pesky wood peckers poking holes in the roof. They didn't last long.

After all that---it was nap time.

After a long nap---Julie fired up her "HOG"---and off we went for a great day ride.

Scott was born to be a cowboy. His partner had a mustache that had to weigh 6 or 7 lbs.

Me and Scott snuck away and headed to St. George, Utah to meet Dr. Rock and Francine and ride with them back to the ranch. That was a few days of some awesome riding.
And I have Doc and Francine to thank for allowing me to join in once again-----I just feel very relaxed and at home riding with them.

Back at the ranch---------the band showed up.
"On the road again,
Just can't wait to get on the road again,
the life I love is makin' music with my friends and,
I can't wait to get on the road again".

Even had backup singers-------
What a hoot the grand opening was.
Memories for a lifetime.

I was at the Three Step for the grand opening and It was GRAND. Great food and accommodations. Even met the Mobius riders. Very laid back and relaxing. Certainly the best place to hold up in South East Utah.

Hey Doc, just wanted to say that reading the Mobius Trip, inspired me to make my own run at the TAT. I am on that adventure right now, after Colorado, especially a grueling Hancock Pass experience, my riding partner and I decided to stop in at Three Step for a day or so off from the trail. there was another couple adventurer's there working on a KLR. I decided to go see if I could help and look what I spotted in the corner!!
Honeybee and Blueberry II! Wow

She looked like she needed to be doing something, so I put her to work repairing some trail carnage from a tumbleweed to my boots.

So, thanks again Dr Rock!!

All Over?

I've followed their trips since Doc first rode down the Blue Ridge Parkway but now I'm confused. Has all that's going to be posted by the Mobius riders been posted or are we waiting for an update?

Talking Hope springs eternal.

Assuming all is well in New Yorkville, David did say that posting would decline. Truer words never spoken and all that. And yet, we may hold optimistic the notion that the desire to post words and beautiful photography will arise again.

Hello to the dynamic duo of Mobius! (And their trusty steeds, one known and one mysterious).

This RR has been the RR of all RR's. Absolutely amazing. I stumbled across this over a month ago and have read through every single trip.

Please, keep it going! Don't stop! The photography in the later Mobius's is absolutely breath taking, this is such a good way to spend downtime at work!

These two folks have been very inspirational. I HAVE to do the TAT. Several times, probably.
