Yep! People either love it or hate it! Although this is far from your run-of-the-mill Griswold family truckster... it's not green, doesn't have 8 square head lights, quad tail lights, or a Ford 302!

For the record that water looks a lot worse than it was.....I was hesitant but watched two DRZ's go through before me and saw it was only 5-6inches deep........

Dr. Z was fearless and tempted fate with some deep puddles....ignorance is bliss I used to ride by myself and blow through any kind of puddle, lake, etc……….. now I know what happens when you drowned a bike... Fucks up a good day of riding!!!

We briefly checked out the Olustee Battle Field. Lots of history there!

After the brief stop, we went on to ride about 75 miles of this stuff:

Here's a nice pic of a dead end trail...

I was very surprised that the KTM Jeffray was riding made it through this water crossing. I was fully expecting the KTM to shut off immediately after the front tire caught site of the water! I thought KTMs had an allergic reaction to water. This one made it through though.

Back at the parking spot to load up & go...

All in all, we had a great ride! No broken bodies and only one broken turn signal (damn cheap KTM parts! ). I can't wait to go back again.

Don't be putting down the Dr.'s ride, that thing is cool as hell. I wish I had a pic of the dancing hula girl on the dash.

It would have been nice at least if you responded to my offer. The reason we bailed is because someone said it was you who knew the trails.

Here's my girl...

She fell off the dash the other day (had to replace the 2-sided tape) and I found out she was made in china! I guess she's a polynesian, oriental type of chick!

Really enjoyed the RR. Trail riding in Florida is a whole lot different than here in the northeast. Easy to get lost due to a lack of elevation...brought back some memories, too...sinking a KX250 in a "shallow" water hole in the middle of the Ocala NF...disassembling the carb on the side of the trail after pulling said KX out in 95 degree heat...hearing banjos playing...

Sorry about that. A polite no thank you, I already made up my mind would have been in order.

I am very directionally challenged, so I don't know why people insist on me being the navigator. I have a GPS with the track log turned on just so I don't ride in circles all day.

Cool

No Problem PK. Any time we can carpool these days would save us all gas.I think everyone had a good ride in different places this weekend. Steve posted our ride tale in DDS under " East Lake County "

Nice report. Osceola is probably my favorite place to ride in Flatistan, though I have yet to make it to Tate's Hell or Appalachicola NF so maybe there's better riding still. Beats the hell out of Ocala in any case.
