2014 Nutcracker 200, Logan Ohio!

Yes folks, it's back, and it's coming up soon! The 2014 AMA Nutcracker 200, presented by Buckeye Dualsporters and Ohio Motorized Trails Association is returning to Southern Ohio!

When? SOON!

The event will once again be held at Kaeppner's Woods in Logan Ohio, and will feature a weekend of camping, hog roast, and of course great riding with access to some private land.

Camping on site available starting Friday afternoon.

New this year!
Online registration via Ticketleap is now available! We are encouraging riders to use this option to reduce the wait on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Click here to pre-enter with Ticket Leap!

Also there are >3< route cards available each day!
  • Dual Sport route, this one is trail intensive, with quite a bit of single track. Suitable for plated light weight dirt bikes. If you try it on a KLR you better be REALLY, REALLY good. If you try it on a GSA your roadside assitance better come with the "helicopter extraction" option.
  • Adventure Route, features lots of scenic forest roads, dirt roads, non-maintained high clearance roads, and a couple optional trail sections. Suitable for the bigger KLR and GSA type adventure bikes.
  • *New this year!* There will be a 100% road ride route available! For those who want to come enjoy a great weekend of camping and motorcycling without leaving the pavement!

Questions? Please post them here!

The Adventure route is passable with a high clearance vehicle.
The Dualsport route is trail intensive.

In case you did not know

For the Dualsport ride all the trail sections on the Nutcracker are on private property.

To expand on what Bill said, it is trail that BDS is given special permission to use each year, largely due to the goodwill in the community because this event supports the local VFD and some trade school scholarships. The BDS members put a lot of work into this event year round, clearing trail and building those community relationships.

Bill a while back there was talk of a street route card being available, and I have been asked about it a couple of times. Is that happening?

I am going to have to find a way to plate one of my dirtbikes.......I think my KDX would be ideal.

Thanks again for well put together ride.

We have BOTH adventure and scenic road routes for Saturday and Sunday. If you have a motorcycle we have a fantastic route for you. If you have friend who likes neat little roads but does not like gravel the road route will be for them!
