Well.....stopped in Otsego for lunch/breakfast. Walked out of the DIner, whih is right on Main St./M89 and there went an old Indian by. Motorcyle that is. Stood there for awhile and evntually say around a dozen or so old bikes roar past. Guess I accidently stumbled upon the Cannonball route.

Sweet! I rode out to Muskegon to see them ride into town. I was in Grand Haven and came across a guy on a 28 Harley. I think he was semi lost? He had been having carb issues and his rear cylinder was over heating. My buddy and I sort of escorted him the rest of the way to the ferry landing in Muskegon and he got there just before loading. I didn't catch his name but he was number 6. It was so awesome seeing all those bikes lined up and then boarding the boat. I think they took up almost all of the ferry. I only took one picture of a crashed bike on a trailer, #40 I believe. I guess a car pulled out in front of him?

Thumb Cannonball!

I saw a bunch of the bikes today as I was headed from GR to Sandusky (currently slumming in Sand-sucky...). They were coming along M20 and up 131. It sure was cool to see all that old iron!

SHort notice, but is there any interest in trying to organize a group ride over to Stockbridge for their annual All clubs motorcycle show this coming Sunday, the 16th. Going to try and get the VJMC group to all meet up at our shop in Galesburg and ride the vintage bikes over to the show. Figure the more the merrier.

Not so much the bikes as it is the bones. On the other hand, only one bike in the garage has a radiator on it.

Can't say for sure about the Stockbridge meet, but I'm going to try to catch up with you folks. It's an easy ride from the house. Either post an ETA or give me a PM on whats up.

Stockbridge -- Sweet. I'm there. Thanks for the head's up. I was a frequenter of Suzy G. get togethers and hate to miss this event...always plenty of two-wheeled eye candy.

I appreciate the small town of Stockbridge and its willingness to embrace the moto culture. I wish more small towns would.

OK, here's the plan as it now stands.

Meet up at Checkred Past Cycles in Galesburg for breakfast at Andrea's Restaurant just down the street. If you don't want to meet and have breakfast, then be here by 10am as we hope to leave for Stockbridge around 10am. As the base group for the ride is the SW Mich VJMC, the route will be on state highways, country roads, not interstate. SHould arrive in Stockbridge around noon. THough its a VJMC club ride, all and everyone are welcome to join us and ride along.

Good events? Heck yes! The big long awaited Ottawa-Kent pickleball challenge is tonight in Grand Rapids. The guys from Grand Haven are coming to Grand Rapids to get their clocks cleaned. Oh, you mean motorcycle type events?.. Nope, nada. Just beers and bandanas at Founders...............We won. Yaa! Then I had to ride home in the rain. Boo! Looks like a beauty weekend. Yaa!

I've never been down in that part of the state, always wanted to... Jeff/buls probably knows where to eat? I should go to the Ride to Eat forum and see what they have on that area.

As long as you're in Stockbridge, you might as well take the twisty ride out to Hell, MI and have a burger at the "Dam Site Inn". Probably the worst service you'll find, but it's pretty hard to screw up a burger. It is usually inundated with leather clad harley-types, but you will see an amazing assortment of Moto's there this weekend as Hell is kind of "on the way" for the Metro Detroit folks.

Leather clad Harley types? That gives me one more reason to avoid Hell.
