Mark your calendars for Saturday December 15th. The VJMC and Checkered Past Cycles are having a Holidays gathering from 1600-2000. Food and beverages will be provided. All we ask is for a donation of a new toy or if you prefer, non-perishable food item. Of course cash donation could also be made. Time of the year to give back or pay it forward...whichever direction you want to go. All are invited.
Food on 15th? In the words of favorite cyborg "I'll be back".

Your going to have to move the shop closer to Traverse... I don't think I can hack the 4 hr drive in the truck, for a fun packed afternoon.

Now that would have to be right up there with one of life's most embarrassing moments.

I'm going to check out a bike in Alabama next week. The only problem is that I have absolutely no way to get it back to W Mich if I buy it. Its too freaking cold to ride it home. ...I'm going to check it out on my way back from Florida and its not going to be out of the way so I have nothing to lose. I might have to rent a storage building for a few months and fly back in the spring? Are there any Michigan tranplants living in N Bamy with extra garage space? Its been kind of quiet here so I thought I would share this tidbit with you guys.

I'm no Alabama slammer, but for what you would pay for storage, you might consider renting a one-way U-Haul trailer. If you like the bike, get the trailer. Once home, drop it off at your nearest U-Haul depot. Then you can spend all winter gawking at the new bike in your garage.

Yeah, thought about that. Maybe I'll get there and it will be a piece of junk? It's a fifthteen year old low mile bike. Maybe I should detour through Georgia and just resist the temptation of having another bike. It would make a nice Xmas present to myself.

Need to know what the bike is before offering an opinion.

1997 model of something....that was a pretty good year for motorcycles as I recall. Heck, the bike I ride the most these days is a 15 year old dirt bike... '97 XR600R. And I KNOW I put more miles on that thing this summer than anything else in the garage. Sad fact.

It's a Pacific Coast identical to my other one. You remember don't you? I had to pry you off of it. The bammy bike has 7 K on the clock.
