Looks like a nice day for a ride. It should be 54F out here on the lake shore.
Have fun everyone and be safe. I've got to work.

Excellent idea! I've been meaning to stop there...followed up by a cappuccino at the Annex in Saugatuck... Now thats a full day. Pricy too.

I got out for a little ride yesterday. After lunch in Hudsonsille I did some country road riding and saw some interesting bikes. Like the newish Guzzi with a sidecar near Forest Grove and the blue scooter with outriggers near Grandville. Even though Saturday set a record for temp it was still chilly thanks to the clouds and wind...Still for January not a bad day.

I will bail out Gib here too. He knows that my wife goes down to Peru for charity work for a month every year. He meant SOUTH AMERICA Charlie. Yep, she went yesterday so I am on my own to ride every day in the desert. The honeydo list is on hold for a month. Now if the weather would cooperate a little.
Yeah, but do you think I'd pass up a chance to give the old goat a hard time???

Ridin' the desrt alone? Got cell service out there in the boondocks?? Personal locator beacon? THough I've done it for years, I've found that riding alone out in themiddle of nowhere I tend to be a bit more cautious.

It was in the 50's yesterday, all the snow melted and I got out for a little ride yesterday.

Today, frozen rain during the night, and now snow... Got to love Michigan

I got out for 100 miles or so yesterday on the KLR. Ran errands around Grand Rapids, then to Zeeland/Holland. Many roads were still pretty salty and I was surprised by some of the bikes out there. My KLR does winter duty and it looks it. I saw several fully chromed Harleys and a few Ducatis.

Yes I do sometimes run the desert and canyons alone Charlie. I don't have a lot of choice this year since my riding partner is back home in MI with a ticker problem. The other guys I ride with have that WORKING problem and can only go on Sat/Sun. I really don't like to ride alone but it is the only option sometimes and yes, I do take it easier out there by myself.

Any of you West Mitt pussys been out riding in this nippy weather? I would but my DR is in the basement waiting for new NSU screws. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Next week isn't looking too promising either.
