Yes sir!
I traded my loved 03 ktm 125 for it and started turning it into a cafe bike..well i lost steam. I had the XRL at the time and was to busy riding to play with it.

It can be yours pretty cheap.

Already got one

Open megaphone & dump the stock airbox let that baby breath. Then go up about 6 sizes on the main, take off 40lbs and that thing is a hoot to ride...a little thumper wheelie machine!!

She's a runner. I have all the stocker gauges and other bizz that was on it. Side panels and all. It was a really clean bike.
Might even deliver it for gas funds and beer.

Hello everyone. My wife's family has a house on Lake Leelanau and each July we spend a week there. This year I am going to be taking my bike up with me. The house is on N. Maintou Trail W. I am not overly familiar with the roads up that way and I was hoping someone could help me out with a nice riding loop? I'm ok with leaving the pavement to find some adventure if available. I think the furthest south we have been on M22 is Empire. I have never had my bike up with me and the scenary and twisties are too good to pass up.

Hey! Whatcha got for a ride and how much off road are you looking for? How long of a ride are you looking for? Looks like your on the North side of the lake.

Older BMW F650 with Shinko 705's, sand would be out of the question, my idea if "off road" is forrest service type roads , or gravel

, yes we are on the North Lake, just north of Cemetary Point. If anyone wants to put together a small group ride I'm all ears

There are a number of old farm roads in the Glen Lake/Port Oneida/ Empire area. Most of it is in the Sleeping Bear National Park. Beautiful backroads to old farms and deserted beaches. You can combine pavement and gravel to make some excellent loops. There is a great bicycle trail from Suttons Bay to Traverse City too if thats your kinda thing....It is for me.

....Check back in June and maybe we can get a group ride in?

If you're into adventure bikes, pick up the new issue of Cycle World. Its their "SPecial Adventure Issue". There's a comparison test between the following bikes: Husky TR650, Kawi KLR 650, KTM 900, Triumph Tiger 800XC, and yamaha Super Tenere.

Oh, and Than......their assesment of the KLR:

1. Basic suspension easily overwhlemed
2. Rubber foot pegs slippery when wet.
3. Not much faster than a VW microbus

So, you see, its not you...its your bike!!
