Now see, oldgoat, if you had that PC800-hack outfit, you could give him a ride in style.

Made it to Chattanooga which is where I hoped to be tonight. Well that's not entirely true. I'd hoped I'd be in Hawaii, but Tennessee is nice :)

It is nice to be somewhere where Spring has sprung. On the last part of the ride when it got dark you could smell that sweet smell when the dew first drops after dusk. It was awesome.

I'm in the mountains now so tomorrow's ride should be good.

O and the bike is a Ninja in name only. Its a 650r so really a standard, parallel twin motorcycle with a shit load of plastic. It's a great bike and very comfy.

I'll be dropping the bike off to Reyer in GA on Saturday and flying home from Jacksonville on Sunday.

Chattanooga? Damn, those are man size miles...I can only get that far when I drive by myself in the car. Coker Tire has a awesome car museum in downtown Chatt. Good Aquarium too. I couldn't find any good grub nearby...Have a good trip JJ.

W-ell...only 700mi, eh? Not the 1000mi need for an Iron Butt award, but a good days ride. Worth a Bronze Butt award at least.

Lol. I thought about that when I started (Hell, maybe I could!?) and when I finished (no fucking way).

Not on that bike. Virtually no windshield (I fought a killer wind out of the south all the way through MI and IN), the seat to peg height is WAY too short for me and no 12 volt outlet. I lost my tunes after 10 hours :(

Give me one of those whiz bang BMW 6 cylinders though and 1,000 miles might just be the starting point.

Don't even think about going through Atlanta before 9 or 10. Its crazy in a car. A bike would be suicide! Take the west bypass, its only a few more minutes and a few more miles. There is no other way around that hell hole! At least the weather looks good.

Good to know Goat. If I leave at 8 as planned, I should make my first stop just before Atlanta (it's about 120 miles away, and I'll want to refuel well before Atlanta and ride through without stopping).

Are you talking about highway 285?

OK cool.

My route then is pretty simple tomorrow. 24 to 75, bypass on 285 and back to 75 into FL.
