Patience grasshopper, patience.

Why do you think I'm holding onto that old XL250. Plans to turn it into an even more vintage srambler...something more resembling an older Brit bike of the early '60s.

I'm sorry but someone who rides a PC and a DR is not generally considered to be "fast". Maybe you meant fat?

Good point. I'm guessing the big DR is faster until the gravel road turns into a two track and then into single track.

Man, great ride today! Lots to love.

#1. Good People
Nice to ride with Frank and Mat again, plus a couple of newbies. Imu is a great dude if you guys get a chance to ride with him.

#2. The DR350
After slugging a KLR around in the sand I can now say I actually LIKE riding sand! This little bike is great off road. I guess she's a keeper.....for now :)

People complain about the soft suspension and I could see how stronger springs might be helpful, but I didn't bottom out all day. Definitely couldn't have said that about the KLR.

#3. MT63's
Man, these are great tires. Front and rear hooked up reliably and predictably all day.

A damn good day.

Ya, what he said! A great day of chasing Jeff down the seasonal roads and riding with some new and old friends. Can't wait to do it again

Here are a few pics.

I see Crazy Frank and the do anything/everything Ninja 250 made the ride.

BTW, check out the front page photo's of this site. You'll noticed some poor sap on a sidecar rig getting drenched in a mudhole.

Hello Friends

On the way home Ron and I got caught in a major downpour. Everything that was supposed to be waterproof was proven otherwise.

Thanks for a great ride.

JJ: I am twice your size and my KLR did not bottom out once. Yes, its true I was walking my bike much of the time, but still......It does have the TopGun rear spring and a longer spacer for the front forks. 15W fork oil also has helped dramatically.

I will post pics here once I dry out. My bike is still at Ron's as he had to give me a ride home. I survive a crazy trail and have to be caged home.

Imu
