When you get near South Haven don't miss Couzins restaurant on Blue Star Hwy. Then run Blue Star up to Glenn through the fruit and antiques belt. The Honey crisp apples this year are the best I have ever had. Peaches are very sweet also. Stock up for your ride. They are a lot more $$$ in Wisc.!

I would look for EXORG to find you a good way to skirt GRapids on the West side since that is his backyard. 196 and 131 both suck going through there. There has got to be a better way.

Might have to look for some Rain-X......or just not ride in torrential downpours at night.
I was told to never use rain-x on plastic. It "eats" the plastic or something. You might want to investigate more.

I've wanted to stop at Couzins but rarely get that far south. There is a cool old mansion/museum by the dunes just north of Saugatuck that's open on weekends. Goggle Felt Mansion. Just hug the lakeshore the best you can, downtown Holland is cool. Ignore the bald guy in a black and white SUV if he waves at you. He's harmless.

Same thing I was told about Rain-X.
I use a Scotts goggle cleaner defogger product that also makes rain bead off like Rain-X. YMMV

Interesting ... i used it for 2 years with no issue ... but it was the rain-x cleaner (glass cleaner with rain-x mixed in). HJC helmet, original shield.
Takes the bugs right off and water slides right off too.

Will have to check labels carefully.....wouldn't want to ruin the windscreen on the Goldwing, not exactly cheap to replace. Worst thing about windscreens is that they create a vortex behind it and can cause them to become opaque with a very fine mist. Maybe the anti-fogging stuff would work better.

I honestly never looked at the label ... bad on my part.
and very true CharlieT, a helmet visor is dirt cheap compared to a windscreen.

BTW, if anybody is in the neighborhood of Hastings this coming Saturday evening, the band that Ted's lady sings with will be at the Waldorf Brew Pub. Nothing like good beer, good music, and good company. Ted, Stephanie and I will be somewhere in the crowd. Stop by and join us if your in the area.

Most breweries (lookin' at you Lienenkugel's) go WAY to strong on fruit flavors. Ichabod is just right. Also, if you are into stout's (I'm more of a bitter beer guy) New Holland's whiskey barrel aged Dragon's Milk is the shizzz.

OO, almost forgot The Livery in Benton Harbor and if you swing a little bit east you can hit my FAVORITE brewery Dark Horse in Marshall which has a custom motorcycle shop on site.

I just setup a laptop with a burned out led backlight in the garage using an external monitor. Now I can post even MORE!
