Would love to, but Tues and Wed are the worst days for me to miss. Tues is re-write day for all the med orders on the ward. If I ain't here, it either won't get done or will get screwed up.

Watch out for nails, pieces of barbwire up there

Yikes, and I haven't picked up tire spoons and a spare tube yet. Let's hope we stay out of the nasties.

And CharlieT's garage won't be open, either. So be careful.

You'll need more than just a book to make a KLR handle Than.

True, but you can still enjoy it for what it is, a do it all bike that's affordable.

True Steve, and with all the lore out there about suspensions I figure I should actually learn a bit about how they work before pouring cash into mine.

I'm not trying to turn the KLR into a supercross bike, but I do want to it set up for my big ass

Sounds good. Wait just a little bit for me, I'm in the Ozarks on my over loaded, ill handling Pacific Pig. The road I was on yesterday is fittingly called Pig Trail, a Arkansas classic. I hope my pig can swim because I have to cross the Mississippi later today.

Ha! Pics to come later from my first water crossing. Not quite the Mississippi, but ya gotta start somewhere.

This was our route for today's ride. It was a good one (thanks 1TRAK!), and I'd say about 80% dirt, but even the paved sections were interesting with some good twisties

Thanks for the route information, now I just have to wait another week or so for my ankle to heal.
