Yes, you can.

I've spoken to Holan this morning and can confirm that you are able to remove the tank without removing the crashbars.

  • They will fit an 03 LC4 Adventure.
They fit other years? Specifically, an '07?

Thanks!

great post!

I just sent you a PM for a set of the crashbars for my 03 640 Adventure.

What type of discount can we get for a group buy?
How many do we need to order?

Please keep in touch as Spring is near and I could really use this protection. I never plan on falling, but I always do!

Teeth to the wind,
Sno Dawg

  • In regards to availability - I'm not sure if it's this thread, or if we just seriously underestimated the demand fro LC4 crashbars, but Holan USA is definitely backordered on these now. Everyone who has orders in for them now should see a shipment from us by the end of the month. Holan EU is constructing more of these specifically for us if that gives you any idea to volume.
  • So far, there's only one set of Holan LC4 crashbars in the US. They were actually purchased before we started importing the line, and before Holan stepped up their power coating. I saw the left bar (the first left bar was damaged in shipping from the EU and we coordinated a replacement) and it was the business.
  • They will fit an 03 LC4 Adventure.
  • Phone number for the shop is 412-923-3209, and there is a widget on our 'Contact Us' page that will have our phone system call you so that we eat the long distance charge. We really don't publicize the number because we just don't man it consistently. The best way to get us is via email as everyone who works at Holan USA has mobile email access. Don't be surprised to get a quick response from us at midnight.
  • We're absolutely open to group buys, and would be willing to work on pricing for quantity orders. Just PM me here, or email me here. Lead time might be a little longer on these though as I would have to put in a special order for the group buy.
I think that covers it. Sorry for the spam.

Thanks Guys!

Gday peoples, how you goin?
My 1st post, and you might not hear from me again here, but just want to say many, many, many thanks to you guys, especially Creeper, Meat and Chris C, for all your how-to posts. I rode my Ducati 996 180km up the local goat track highways to down-trade to either a DR650 or KLR650 (long-travel suspension, doesn't mind West Aussie pea gravel ), and I came home with a 2005 KTM 640 LC4 SM!
HUH!?!? Dunno how it happened either, but you don't pick bikes based on ticking off points on a list, it's a gut thing. But when I got the thing home, with no books or anything, every time I googled "640 LC4 Oil Change", or "640 LC4 carb mods", dammit here I was again.....who needs books!
Best way to describe it is twice the fun as the Ducati, at half the speed!
Again, many thanks, you guys are the coolest.
