It's a GS650 aftermarket one.
Glad you like it

You know what's funny ???? When I was looking at the shield on your bike, at home, over a cold one - the thought hit me .....

Wow that shield looks an awful lot like the shield I had on my 2000 F650.

As for the lines, and how you mounted it, etc ..... I think it looks great! My 620 that I'm picking up this weekend though has the bolt on upper shield.

I will be searching to see if there's a taller "bolt on" aftermarket shield if for some reason I get buffeted on the bike.

I didn't have to change out or mod the stock shield on my 990adv - and I think it's due to me only being 5'10

Anyhow - again, it looks great.

G.

. . . . . . take me with you. I'm just giving you guff. Don't take anything I say personally. The shield is nice. It actually looks like it was made for it.
you are sooo funny. I never thought anything but taking it as a joke (what are jokes for, other than for telling trues in a smooth way ... ).

Machu Pichu: EASY -> take a flight to Santiago de Chile, rent a KTM 990 or 640Adv at South Pacific Cross (same people from KTM Chile), cross Los Andes to my neighbourhood, and let's go!!! (Ruta 40 -Arg-, Bolivia, Perú, and back to the south along Chile -Atacama Desert, etc-). You leave at Santiago whatever will be of your bike () and I can help you with your lugagge at the airport !!!
You can not say nobody told you ....

For the moment, is a solo ride .

G.

You asked the windshield "do we know each other???"

I'm 6'1, that's why I looked for some shelter. Anyway, I rode a few times a 990, a 990s and a 950, and I felt more sheltered than in my 640Adv (stock wshield).

2 days and counting ........

Hey! Anyone know what the total length of a 640 is. Wheelbase stated is 59.2 inches - which basically is 6ft.

Reason I ask - is because I'm thinking of just loading the bike up in my pickup - which is a quad cab dodge datoka - and my bed length with the tailgate down is 7ft 6 inches .....

I guess I could just go out and measure my 990 .......

Anyhow if anyone knows off the top of their head and wants to chime in, sweet ......

G.

G,
Mine is 2.14 mts (7.02 feet) straight, and 2.08 mts (6.82 feet) with the handle-bar full turned. It seems like you won't need to change your Dakota ...

What I don't know is if Austrians had changed the lenght through the years (I don't think so).

I hope this helps.
