Nice job Uber. Dad looks either real happy or scared to death. I used to ride pillion with mine all the time. Now he rides everywhere I do in spirit.

Warplanes

Really nice pics Uber-Moto! I'm thinking of heading up to the museum myself in July. It looks like you guys had a great time.

Not the same caliber of plane, but here is a picture from a flight I did this weekend:

I'm still thinking of heading north for my next trip, maybe Manitoulin Island, Sault Ste Marie and down through Michigan. Hmm...

Just found this thread - Good stuff Ube.
I used to take my dad to Hamilton's airshow for father's day, too (back when it was a full blown airshow).

You and your dad probably know that the RAF maintained Polish fighter squadrons during the war? The Brits helped establish squadrons for Polish pilots who escaped occupied Poland. 303 Squadron had the highest enemy kill rate of any squadron during the Battle of Britain. Quite a story.

Where is that musium? The wife and I both love war planes. She is more for the new while I love the golden age of fighters, (WWII). We got to see your Lanc fly at the Gathering of Mustangs in Columbus, Ohio last year, and I think it was Canada's Sea Fury I saw at an airshow I attended in Florida.

Do they actually let the general public sit in the cockpit of a Spitfire??? That in itself would be worth the trip for me.

The wife and I will be attending the Dayton Air Show again this year. The trip will include a day at the USAF musium, which is also in Dayton Ohio. Come on down.

Just Southwest of Hamilton Ontario.

Canadian War Plane Museum

They pull out all the stops once a year - father's day! That includes a chance to sit in a Spitfire (after a $2 donation.... ya, I figured it was worth it!).

Airplanes have had hold of my imagination even longer than motorcycles.

Good on you and your dad, Ube.

Geez Uber, that looks like a blast! Been to both the Dayton, Ohio and Washington DC museums, but go figure... never the Hamilton one! Love the Sea Fury! One of these days I'll ride out west and catch the air races in Reno! Hey, there's an idea... TAT to Reno!
