Where to Ride: SC Eastern Piedmont?

Hi, I am wondering where are some good places, roads, routes, etc. to ride in the Eastern Piedmont/North Sandhills area of SC. I'm talking counties like: Union, Chester, York, Cherokee, Lancaster, Kershaw and Fairfield.

I'm looking for two main things: twisties (hard to find, right?) and some mild dualsport riding (dirt roads, gravel roads) that are fun and/or lead to interesting sights to see!

Now, what bikes do you have?

Twisties? Dual Sporting? You ever been up round Uwharrie? It's a National Forest around Troy, NC. Mountains older than the Rockies. Name your poison....

Dirt? Check!
Asphalt? Check!
Twisties? Check!
Boulders? Yup!

Uwharrie's got it all!

I have a cruiser and soon to have DR650 . Looking to have some more fun than long stretches of highway. And I live in the center of the counties I mentioned, so I could make a nice day adventure out of it.
