GREAT PHOTOS! That made my morning! I havent been to a mile since they blew off California having any kind of nationals,I really hope Mike Kidd can put flattrack racing back on the map.Hes a great promoter and will do his best if the dumbass's at the AMA will let him run things as he sees fit. The photos of the KTM and Suzuki's are nice. Those expensive old fashioned Harleys will one day be outdated if enough people start dialing in the Aprilias,KTM's and Suzuki's. Thanks for the flatrack coverage!!!!

I was there and it was great to see two miles and a short track all in one weekend, and I did notice the two ladies in your picture wandering the pits. How about #15 Nicole Chavez and the dash for cash.

Looks like a great event. Nice Norton and 'square 4'.

Nicole was just awesome.....and if you were there you saw first hand how the crowd went nuts for her...she was great!

And, thanks for the comments on the photos. I used an inexpensive 70-300 Sigma lens on my Nikon camera and all shots were hand held. That plastic lens sells for under $150 new, and I've had it for over 10 years. I gave up on the autofocus feature, as these guys (and one gal) were really flying...135 in the straights and over 100 mph drifting sideways through the turns. I picked a spot on the track and manually focused, and then I waited (but not for long!) for the bikes to go flying by. I shot at ISO 1000 and I had the lens wide open to get shutter speeds up around 1/1000 sec. The results surprised me.

Great photos! Thanks for adding the photo tip too, I might go shoot a flat track race this weekend and I'll give that a shot!

That photo you have of the black Harley doing the wheelie is ( I think ) the first time in my life I've said "thats sweet" in reference to a Harley! I also made the same comment to a a couple photos further down the page!
