2014 R1200GS - Glare on GPS Screen

The sun glare on my GPS screen is so bad I can barely see the GPS display. I have it set to maximum brightness. Anyone else have this problem?

nav IV or V???.. It's a known issue with the Nav IV, I haven't sprung for the V yet. The only solution I've found is to shade it with my hand . I've heard relocating it the handle bars helps

Common problem on GPS's that are mounted out in the direct sunlight on a bike.

The Nav-V has a better (brighter) screen than the IV, I put a screen protector on my V with matte surface to try and cut down on the glare, it helped a little, I may end up getting a visor for it.

Try tilting the mount to face more towards horizontal.

It is the Nav 5 unit. I see that Touratech has a visor, but I don't know if it will fit with the unit in the factory mount.
