Great report.
Can't get over you ridin the prairies on a KLR with not
much complaining.
With a KLR seat and my butt I'd still be there.

Enjoyable hope you do RR's in the future.

Just a note about the fellow on the extremely loaded Honda.
He's from Red Deer. Apparently he travels back and forth across the prairies every summer and used to go to Mexico(on the bike) every winter.
I heard that Mexico no longer lets him in due to some indescretions that ran him afoul of the law.
I don't want to know what one would have to do for Mexico to deny entry.

Hey Gord, thanks for the comment. It's always good to be able to stop by and chat with other riders (even better if I can show off a little too! )

GP640, thanks for the info on this guy. Meeting him has left a lasting impact. I keep on remembering seeing him after coming through some pouring rain, noticing that he was simply wearing a big poncho and normal running shoes. His feet must have been soaked. I was miserable enough with "proper" gear.

Ron, I'm perfectly angelic over here! Goin' dualsporting today. Life don't get much better.

Kinda cool to see this report get dredged up again. Nice to go back every so often.

Travis

Hello Travis
I just came across you RR. It's a great read. I just got back from trip down to the four corners area. I have to agree about riding across the flat lands. Tired beyond belief, then I hit Oregon. Hills and corners again...Woo Hoo!

Thanks for the great ride report, Travis.

ZZRon must be some kind of Canadian ambassador of travel. On ya, Ron.

Thirty years ago I treated myself to steak and eggs for the first time ever at a little roadside diner near Kalispel, Montana. I could ill afford it, but I did it anyway.

Enjoying the reports submitted by you younger guys. Seeing things through the eyes of youth takes some of us aulde pharts back to a simpler time.

Ride on.
