I just like riding

I read through it again not too long ago, told my dad I had, and mentioned, "I sound so young."
My Dad responded, "I knew you were going to say that."
I've learned in the past year that the reports from my first year riding will never be replicated. The focus changes, and the knowledge base pushes some of the naivety away. I guess it leads to the taking on of more challenges, but, as you alluded to, the simpler times are on their way out.
I recently spent some time working on the KLR, which I still have, with about 80K Km on it now. I've been riding it harder lately, and it shows. I guess this is a good time to reflect on how good the machine's been to me and repay it with a bit more TLC.
On a side note, Lornce, your cross Canada report on the R50/5 was fantastic. Dad has a '73 75/5 that is sitting in their basement right now. Every time I return to their home, I pull off the waxed canvas cover and just gaze at it for a while. Those old airheads. Mm.
"Ride on" sums it up well.
Two wheels and half a brain.
