San Diego Light Duty Saturday

Short Relaxed Loop Saturday, Mixed Street and Dirt. Heading out about 0830 from La Mesa toward Pine Creek and Pioneer Mail camp on S1. Over to Julian or Cuyamaca for a snack, then home before the warmth builds.

Feel free to join in.

Generating $$

I hear there are cheap exotic loans you can get on your house. They say they can't fail!

Sorry that previous commitments are keeping me otherwise occupied today,
suspect you're having a great time out there...

Well, I was headed to Julian this morning from Temecula. That was supposed to be my destination. I decided to take a detour on to Cauhilla Creek Road to try some dirt for the first time since getting my TKC-80's on my Wee. I dropped the bike for the first time since owning it and I only was making the turn from the pavement to the dirt/sand. Some farmer guy came over to help me. I was able to lift the beast pretty easy myself, but was a little rattled (more ego than anything else). I decided to get back home before more bad luck came my way.

Missed You Fellas

Sorry you guys couldn't make the ride.

Deer Park Motard is a delight on a Sunday Morning.
Made progress searching out a connecting route between Chariot Canyon and Hwy 79.

The coffee shop at the north end of town in Julian keeps a guy away from the dopey crowds.
See you people on the road...

Hi BAGSTR - I only got out for a ride on Sunday (with my new GPS!!) and had it in mind to find Pine Creek (from some pics you posted a while ago).

I came down Boulder Creek Rd and started up Pine Creek Road and then turned on to Laguna Meadows Rd. On the way back down from Laguna Meadows, I took the spur that was the continuation of Pine Creek Rd. I found the first bit a little tricky and turned around after a few hundred yards - it had been a nice (but hot) ride and I didn't feel like potentially getting out of my depth and spoiling the outing.

Anyway - my question is: what is Pine Creek Rd like after the initial downhill bit with the loose, powdery, rocky surface that was? I made it back up just fine so I probably just over-reacted.....

Opinions welcomed as usual!!

Thanks and take care - Wolfhound

Hey,

Can one of you guys tell the SD Adv. Riders moderator to check his/her #$*#$* email? I've been trying to get signed up there for months (at least SIX) and no responses...

The following is fine - But they don't seem to be checking it!!! AAARGH!
"Thank you edeslaur. Your registration has been successful. The administrator wishes to preview all new registered accounts before posting permissions are granted. The administrator has been notified of your registration."

I just reregistered again this AM.

Hhmmhh - I tried to sign up a while ago and had the very same experience. So, unfortunately, I can't offer any sage advice! I gave up and besides have found this forum to be both the dog's danglies and the cat's meeooww.

Take care - Wolfhound

Yeah, gotta love ADV. Just looking for a more local resource as well...

Kinda like Jeep Cherokee forums. I'm member of the nat'l club and the local clubs. Both have good reasons to exist.
