Let's ride

Our first dirt trail is Dunderberg....easy ride but scenic!

The airheads

The fearless wotevah joined us on this ride all the way to Bridgeport

Thanks to spafxer for sweeping for the most part of the ride and he was very dissapointed no one needed his service

What the heck, all of the sudden Matt, Sito, 2old, kkug, and here's design4d came out of nowhere and startled all the nOObs!

The trail leading north and ends up on the 395, sout of Bridgeport

We stopped in Bridgeport for lunch before heading out to Bodie

As I look through the window, something very familiar greeted me!

Looks like a good find, finally found a use for advanced FFs

This joint is a well established landmark in the city. It even has a shower in the men's restroom..yeah no kidding.

We ate light, worried we might spoil our appetite for the big dinner at Red's that evening

We should have, but not sure how to do it without doing a lot of cutting and pasting. All I was able to do is provide a link... and will continue to do so.

This wasn't intended to keep it local or cause a division, it just so happened there are FFs who want to keep it informal without doing some editing, silly, boring, lousy, low quality pics, and sometime stupid that may not be appreciated at the other board. We could have done the same on the Cedric Ride which was an epic event and that too stayed in the regional section.

Many are already aware of the WMRS Ride Report and appreciable pics should be posted there so that the whole community can enjoy them.

Good job Stonewall and thanks for organizing this epic event!

The highlight of our ride is "THE MIGHTY WATER CROSSING"

Made it to Bodie

On the way up to WMRS, we tried to ride as much pavement we could find

Pavement was our best friend...

now we're skeered to death but dust free

If you think h8chains is slow....think again , Ed is saying half hour - big deal!

From what I heard, they will open the gate to White Mountain this coming fall, but not the research station.

We can plan another trip, but this time camp between Independence and Bishop. Easier for those riding small bikes, which I will be on, to get up there and back to camp.

Go up on Silver Canyon, to White Mountain, then come down on Wyman Canyon, or............. the other way around so that we can see the view of the Sierra on the way down....really depends on what the FFs want.

This place has so much to offer....then for the more adventurous riders, there's Coyote Flats.

Definitely in to going back & doing Coyote Flats ... didn't hit that last time.

I just rolled in around 2:30 this morning. Camped at a spring for a couple more nights & rented a bike at Mammoth for a day. Up at 6 am yesterday & did a loop over Sonora, over to the coast, down to the James Dean highway, back inland, & then continued to LA.

Pics to come!
