Mick,
The guys with the 690's on our trip went for a higher bar radiator cap. I cant remember the numbers? 1.4bar to 1.8? something like that. It holds more pressure in the system before it lifts the seat off. One of the bikes actually split the radiator from the rough roads but KTM replaced it under warranty. Just check what KTM say about raising the pressure before you buy one just incase they say its a bad idea.

Going just up rainbow or going over to fraser? Would be keen to see how you go on fraser with her on the inland tracks, done them on a drz and my old 990 - that was not fun. Do you have a scotts? Tyres?

The Radiator cap has the elbow swivel going into it and if the pipe is routed incorrectly it can put a "lean" on it and it can leak out of the swivel, I had to have mine replaced under warranty as it was enough to pop the swivel out of the cap.

Hey folks,
Would anyone be kind enough to tell me on which side of the back rim is the size written ie 18 x 2.5 etc.
Is it written on the disc or the cush drive side?
Cheers
(now don't all rush out to your sheds at once!)

Just as I thought, the wheel lacer who shall remain nameless has laced the hub up the wrong way round.
Different angles on either side if the rim. Have to wait til Monday to get it fixed up...faaark!
