He's had $9990 on it in the past and people kept asking what's wrong with it so he bumped it back up.

Mate there was one at Canberra Moto centre for $11990 with about 6700km, 10k is a great price in my opinion and that one is in much better condition. see below
http://www.bikesales.com.au/dealer/d...%201478%201476
I got mine for $8500 without rego and 5500km on the clock, bog stock standard. I was surprised when I saw it and how well it was looked after and the price sure didn't scare me off lol.

The toolbox is desighjned to hang of pannier racks - I have mine on the RR ones and I still had to grind abit of the side of the tube as it hit the caliper - so as I see it you could desighn some sort of holder and keep it away from the bike { which wud look like shit } or maybe go for the tool tube that attaches to the bracing on the front right of the frame . You will prob end up getting racks anyway it supports the rear of the bike gives hand holds for pulling and pushing and very good for attaching panniers to

Yeah on the DRZ you get an aluminium plate bolted to the subframe that holds the tool tube at the same angle as the pipe on the opposite side, I realise the 690 is mostly tank there and wasn't sure if there is anything to bolt to, thanks

There would maybe be other places on the bike - but under the tank is not one of them-the tool tube is pretty big-I am asuming were talking the RR tool tube

I was thinking maybe you could even modify one of the Rally-Raid engine toolbox mounts to hold a tool tube, not sure if there's enough room.
