I guess I did Seth. Mainly because I bought the bike second hand and it didnt come with a manual. So do you have to turn the tap off every timeyou fill both tanks?

2013 690 Enduro

Picked up my 2013 KTM 690 Enduro today

First impressions after coming off a DRZ400E

Well I especially got the KTM Airbox, Mapping, and Akrapovic fitted by TeamMoto so that it would come from shop running sweet, and guess what, it ran like a dream.

Not sure what all the comments about gearbox ratio too close, man you should ride a DRZ then you'll know close, the gearbox is great, don't think I got anywhere near 6th, on the DRZ I would have looking for 2 more gears by then.

KTM Airbox, that things pretty noisy.

Akrapovic, I was worried it would be too noisy, it's sweet with DB Killer in.

Jerky throttle, not from my perspective, will have to confirm after a bush run but seems sweet.

Well now it's run in and Farkle time, rear rack and small bag, bash plate, radiator guards, and we will see what else.

Oh an TeamMoto got a new Map set in yesterday, just in time for my bike

One more thing for TeamMoto, when you deliver bikes in Aus, set speedos to KPH not MPH, lucky I realised as I thought it was a bit fast in a school zone.

Hahah, thanks Cruz and Andy, fingers crossed, it's a pretty amazing bit of kit, I did get a backfire once on a suburban run tonight running along with a neutral throttle, ill have to watch that or ill be putting my throttle body rubber back on.

Oh and I hope to take it easy for a while, if I can contain myself, when the front wheel lifted tonight I backed down pretty quick, I want to run it in well.

coming off a DRZ i think have double the horsies would be distracting. and it all comes down to personal preference. the gearbox works well if you like to keep the 690 on the boil. but guys upgrading from a TE610, 530EXC or LC4 found the ratios closer together on the 690 (see this thread).

Yes power does help, but there's still a clear difference in the gearbox without me even having to work out the ratio difference with numbers. I did a commute today and so far the hardest thing to get used to is the noises and feel at different rev ranges, and what gear to coast at different speeds. I'm liking this thing the more I ride it.

2013 690 Enduro R

Been adding a few extras over the last few days in between rides, just waiting for a Seat Concepts Gripper/Carbon orange stitch upgrade to arrive.

Rally Raid Radiator Guard and Grill

Rally Raid Chain Case Guard and Flatland Racing Bash Plate

Rally Raid Engine Mount Tool Kit Holder

Touratech Rear Rack and Tusk Small Tail Bag

Threw the power parts Touring Windscreen on as well

Mounted 12v socket in behind Headlight Mask off accessories spare

Stiffened up all Indicators with split radiator hose and ties

Took some of the slack out to help noise and vibration with tube sleeve on Bashplate rear mounting

Notice the shiny clear vinyl on the black tank sides above the foot pegs, I noticed my inside legs were scuffing tank around my knees so I cut vinyl to shape and heat applied

Number plate was falling off so I've beefed up the mounting with aluminium flat bar

I have pretty much a standard tool kit in my RR toolbox but it has to be squeezed in.

Thanks. Was hoping to fit ktm toolkit and a few bits and bobs but looks like its slightly too small.
Will have to stick with my r8 waist pack for the moment.
